Zion Jeep Tours
Zion Jeep Tours is a Springdale Jeep tour and rental company offering both group and private tours. These tours take guests off the beaten path, and give them a chance to experience some of Utah’s hidden gems up close and personal. Depending on your tour, you could explore a ghost town, see rare wildlife, or even spot rock art created by Native Americans more than a thousand years ago.
Both private and group tours are available 7 days a week, year-round. Let’s take a closer look at the tour options from Zion Jeep Tours.
Mesa Vista Group Safari
The most popular tour option is the Mesa Vista Group Safari Tour. This 3-hour adventure takes guests through the high backcountry of Zion’s Kolob Terrace section. You’ll cross onto either the Smith Mesa or Hurricane Mesa, where you’ll get incredible views of Zion’s peaks. During this tour, you’ll have several opportunities to stop and get pictures and to see any wildlife you spot and Native American wall paintings.
This tour is $90 for those aged 13 and older, and $65 for those between the ages of 2 and 12. Children under 40 pounds will need to have their own child car restraints. Zion Jeep Tours cannot accommodate children under 2 years old.
Three-Hour Private Jeep Tour
If you’re looking for a more customizable experience, the Three-Hour Private Jeep Tour may be the better choice. This tour allows guests to choose to explore the Outback of ZIon or Mesa Vista. Ahead of your adventure, talk to your guide about what you’d like to see. Whether you want to get incredible pictures of stunning panoramas, see Native American rock art, or visit an authentic ghost town where Hollywood movies were once filmed, you can do so on this tour.
The cost for this tour is $105 for guests aged 13 or older and $105 for guests between the ages of 2 and 12. There is a 3-person minimum for all private Jeep tours. Zion Jeep Tours has vehicles that can seat anywhere from 3 to 11 passengers, allowing them to accommodate larger groups on these tours. All private tours are private, which means that mixed groups will not be placed in Jeeps together. For this tour, your guide will pick up you and your group from your choice of location in Springdale. This means that you can be picked up straight from Flanigan’s Inn.
Grand Canyon Backcountry Tour
Zion Jeep Tour’s newest adventure is the Grand Canyon Backcountry Tour. This lengthy tour lasts between 8 and 9 hours and takes guests from Springdale to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. You’ll explore the remote border between Southern Utah and Northern Arizona. Peer over the edge of the canyon and spot the Colorado River some 3,000 feet below you.
This tour costs $600 for 1 to 2 passengers, and $820 for a 3-passenger private tour. This longer tour option is not recommended for small children.
