Zion Peddler
Zion Peddler is a bike rental service located in Springdale, Utah. But these aren’t just any bikes. Instead, Zion Peddler has a fleet of electric bikes; e-bikes. E-bikes make it easy and accessible to enjoy Zion National Park and Springdale on two wheels.
At Zion Peddler, you can choose from a variety of different types of e-bikes. Each model features comfortable sets, puncture-resistant tires, and between 25 and 30 miles of range on a single charge.
First time riding an e-bike? Don’t fret; if you can ride a bicycle, you can ride an e-bike! And with the addition of an engine, you can even peddle up steep hills or over long distances with ease.
Renting an e-bike with Zion Peddler is a breeze. Thanks to their new partnership with Flanigan’s Inn, you can rent your e-bike when you book your room or charge a rental to your room after you’ve arrived. Choose your rental date, select an e-bike from their fleet, and conveniently pick up your rental in Springdale. Parking is available on-site at Zion Peddler, located at 358 Zion Park Blvd. Each rider will need to sign a waiver and take a short bike class to learn how to operate your e-bike and ride safely. Helmets are included in your e-bike rental.
From there, you’ll have a variety of options to choose from on where to ride. While Zion is a popular destination for renters, you can also use your e-bike to get around Springdale. Zion Peddler can even design a personalized itinerary for your day! Overnight rentals are available on a case-by-case basis. If you want to beat the crowds, you can take advantage of their early bird discount, and pick up your e-bike rental as early as 5:00 a.m.
Biking in Zion National Park
An e-bike makes it easy to explore Zion National Park in a whole new way. Rather than hopping on the shuttle, you’ll ride your e-bike right into the park. E-bikes are allowed on Zion’s scenic drive, including past the point where vehicles are prohibited and shuttles run. Parking is available at many trailheads. But you can also ride your e-bike along any roadways in the park, as well as on the Pa’rus Trail.
The Pa’rus Trail is Zion’s only bike-friendly hiking trail. This 3.5-mile one-way trail is fully paved, making for a smooth ride on bikes and e-bikes. The trail follows the Virgin River as it winds through Zion’s Lower Canyon. The Pa’rus Trail begins at the Zion Canyon Visitor Center and ends at Canyon Junction. Along the way, you’ll spot a variety of plant and animal life, and enjoy some incredible views of Zion’s most famous peaks.
Keep in mind that the trail also allows leashed pets, as well as hikers on foot. Practice caution and watch your speed while enjoying this popular trail.
